Simple Woman — Night Edition
Visit Peggy at The Simple Woman to see what other ladies are thinking and doing today!
Outside my Window…it is now completely dark at 9:13 PM. It has been raining all day and some of the streets here are flooded.
I am thinking…about how it would be wonderful to go to bed early tonight rather than working through the night and most of the day.
I am thankful for…for my Catholic faith and know that God is with us now, giving us strength in the midst of this storm and all the storms of our lives.
From the kitchen… cheesy brats (which Bill grilled when the rain let up), soup, and salad.
I am wearing… soft turquoise velour sweats that I have had for ages now — very cozy and warm.
I am reading…Spero by AR Horvath, The Fire Within by Fr. Thomas Dubay (I watched the series on EWTN a zillion times so I thought I had better start on the book.), and The Life of Saint Margaret Mary Alacoque by Most Reverend Emil Bougand.
I am hoping…that the two checks my dh and I have been waiting for will arrive soon, as they are about a week late.
I am creating…short stories and book reviews.
I am hearing…an old movie on TV (The volume is very low, so I can’t make out the dialogue.)from the room next to this one.
Around the house…everyone is sleeping.
One of my favorite things…is to be able to sleep soundly, for as long as I like, which is a rare treat.
A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week…read, write, work, work, work, and more work! Hopefully, I will get a little rest in, too.
Here is a picture thought I am sharing for you:
A statue of our Blessed Mother, which was decorated with flowers made by the children of our parish who participated in Generations of Faith last night. (Sorry the photo is dark, but it was the best of those taken. The ones taken with a flash were blurry.)
