I’m Jean M. Heimann. I am a Catholic wife, an author, a freelance writer, blogger, and speaker.
After high school, I went to junior college to study elementary education. My rhetoric professor told me that I exhibited many of the characteristics of a professional writer and encouraged me to pursue a career in writing.
I loved writing, but loved helping people more, so I eventually became a psychologist who worked with youngsters from ages two through eighty-two. I was passionate about my work, but developed an illness that prevented me from continuing on my career path. In 2003, I returned to my first love – writing.
In 2012, I earned my Master of Arts in Theology and continued working as a freelance writer. I write non-fiction books about the Blessed Virgin Mary, the saints, virtues, Catholic spirituality, and Pope St. John Paul’s Theology of the Body. My first book, Seven Saints for Seven Virtues was published in 2014 and my second book, Learning to Love with the Saints was published in 2016. I am currently working on my third book.
I live in Kansas with my husband, Bill, and my calico cat, Jazzy. I enjoy writing, singing, art, and still love helping people.
God bless you and fill your heart with His love, peace, and joy!
